He promises that your child will be able to "read" and read well after viewing the several tapes in the series.
I 100% believe that the whole word approach is the worst possible way for a child to learn to read in California actually used the whole word method to teach reading. The year my son went to kindergarten they decided that phonics was the better way to teach and got rid of whole word.

My Baby Can Read has won several awards for this amazing program. The national parenting center seal of approval, iParenting media award winner, Dr. Toy 10 best educational products winner, Mom’s best award winner and the creative child toy award winner are a few of the awards that this program has received.


Of course with everything, there has to be some negatives to point out. The only negative that is shown is that the videos may cause too much screen time for babies. This means that babies watch too much television and may miss out on human interaction which also can help them learn to communicate and talk. It is important to limit your child to the amount of television he or she watches. One 45 minute episode a day is more than enough. Perhaps your child won’t even be able to occupy himself for the complete 45 minutes.
